John Riley, Owner of Seacoast Lucky Dog Daycare

My name is John and I’m the owner of Lucky Dog Daycare. After graduating from college with a degree in Business Management, I managed Tri-State Industrial Catering. With that responsibility comes long hours. I have a Puggle named Rambo, who I loved taking for walks, throwing the ball and watching him play at the beach. It wasn’t fair that he would stay home, so my wife and I looked into daycares in the area. Rambo would go a few times a week and the other days I’d bring him to the office. I would throw the ball in the backyard with Rambo running, wagging his tail for hours if he’d let me. Then, it hit me! I could do this every day…not just for Rambo, but I could create a fun, safe environment for working parents where they’d know their four legged friends were getting the exercise and socialization they needed from a passionate dog lover. That day I went back into my office with Rambo and worked on Seacoast Lucky Dog Daycare.

I have owned dogs my entire life and have always been fascinated with their loyalty, energy and companionship. Over the past four years I’ve done extensive research, taken courses on learning the art of reading your dog’s body language, figuring out their play styles with other dogs, maintained pet CPR/First Aid certification and surrounded myself with a team of passionate employees with over 50 years’ experience working with dogs/animals. I’m so fortunate to work with such a talented, knowledgeable staff that shares the same vision for providing the best experience to our customers. I love coming to work every day and seeing all my four legged friends run through the door with so much excitement. Playing fetch with my friends and watching them run, jump, and socialize is a pleasure.
